Me: “You go ahead. Ma asht’hii game.”
I decided to ditch the game since I wasn’t much of a soccer person.
9:30 PM
Reem calling…
Reem: “Lama weenk? We’re about to head over the entertainment room.”
Me: “Jaytkom. Umm... Reem?”
Reem: “Yes, he’s here.”
Me: “Kalba.”
Reem: “T7beenii adrii. Yala est3jliii it’s the annual truth or dare game.”
Me: “Zeen zeen jaya.”
-----------------
Reem was at our room and we were just talking. You know; girl-talk.
She was telling us about this guy she liked who was in Riyadh, and how he was very sweet.
Me: “Meta klmtii?”
Reem: “Ma 6wlna, ymkn gbl shahar”
Jenna: “Reem be careful you never know esh neyat el3yal el9dgeya.”
Me: “eee 9dg”
Jenna: “Okay, I have a confession to make.”
Me: “Spill.”
Jenna: “I think bdeet a5g 3la Bandar.”
Reem: “Seriously? Bandar?”
Jenna: “Ma adrii bnat! When we were at the paintball ditch I ran into him in the field o m7d feena 6lg 3la el hanii o we talked shwaya, o he’s really sweet, then someone from my team shot him... madri madriiiii”

Faisal Calling…
Me: “Hala Faisal.”
Faisal: “Hey Lama, are you busy?”
Me: “Not at all.”
Faisal: “Can you meet me outside? I need to talk”
Me: “Sure, are you okay?”
Faisal: “Eee, I’m fine bss a7taj atklm m3k shwaya.”
My heart fell to the ground. His tone was firm and scary, very unlike Faisal.
I put on a pullover and headed outside.
Faisal: “Hala hala”
Me: “Faisal 5al9na gool m5wfniii!”
Faisal: “La t5afeen. I need to talk to you”
Me: “About what?”
Faisal: “Saud”
Me: “What about Saud?”
Faisal: “Lama I’ve seen the way he looks at you, and I’ve seen the way you look at him.”
Me: “I DON’T LOOK AT HIM!”
Faisal: “Lama come on, I’ve known you since we were kids. You can’t lie to me.”
Me: “I don’t know what to say walla! I’ve been trying to avoid him but I don’t know some weird things are happening to me!”
Faisal: “It’s called a crush you loser. I know how you feel. Bss a7taj tkooni 9ree7a m3i Lama. You know I'm always here for you 97”
Tloomooni fiiii???

Faisal: “Haha, la mn zaman but I know how it feels.”
I can sense him being dishonest but I didn’t want to butt in.
He looked at me; we both didn’t have anything to say. This is the first awkward situation I’ve ever had with Faisal. Conversations always flow between us.
Faisal: “6ayb yalla engl3ii 3ind 9deegatk nshbtii.”
Me: “Agol bs y79lk ana ajls m3 hl wayh.”
Faisal: “Yalla bs ashoof”
I laughed and walked away.
I went back to my room and Reem had already gone back to hers. I changed into my pjs and went to sleep.

I tried to avoid Saud in writing class as much as I could. He didn’t say much but he always sat behind me.
I woke up at 4 am today, typical Lama. I decided to go outside for a jog because the weather was beautiful.
I got back around 5:30, took a shower, and got dressed.
