I looked around and Saud
was by the snacks and drinks table.
I couldn't fight the urge
to head over there.
Me: "Hey there
stranger."
I have no idea what
keeps getting over me!!!! What the hell was I doing?
Saud: “Hey you.”
He said it with his back facing me. When he turned around he froze.
Me: “Shfeek?”
He smiled and said: “Nothing. You look beautiful Lama.”
Ahhh the way he says Lama, good God.
I didn’t reply. I didn’t know what to say.
I poured myself a coke and headed back to my friends.
I really didn’t want to come off as rude, but I didn’t know how to handle the situation.
“GATHER AROUND AND SIT IN A CIRCLE”
Most of us did, and the rest just sat around doing their thing.
We're going to play truth or dare oo eliii yjii 3leeh ras el3lba ys2l elii tji 3leeh el 3lba mn wra.
Jenna: “I want to spin the bottle first!”
The top of the bottle faced Faisal, and he was going to ask a girl called Lauren.
Faisal: “Truth or dare.”
Lauren: “Dare.”
Faisal raised an eyebrow and placed his hand under his chin: “Hmm… I dare you to twerk.”
Lauren: “Omg are you serious?”
With a poker face he said: “Very.”
Lauren did one of the worst twerks ever; it was a great laugh though.
Me: “Okay my turn.”
I spun the bottle and I get to ask Bandar.
Me: “Truth or dare?”
Bandar: “Truth.”
Me: “Your crush hina?”
Bandar: “Yes.”
Jenna’s face turned all shades of red.
A couple people answered questions and did their dares then the bottle spun around and it chose Faisal to ask again.
Faisal: “Truth or dare.”
Saud: “Truth.”
Faisal: “Km w7da klmt?”
Saud: “2”
I was shocked. I mean two relationships are a lot when you think about it! No wonder he’s such a sweet talker; he’s experienced.
Faisal: “Lazm tjawb b9ra7a.”
Saud gave him a sharp stare: “glt thneen.”
They just kept staring at each other.
Someone spun the bottle and the top landed on Jake and the bottom on me, dear God. Jake mara w95 and had a perverted mind.
Jake: “Truth or dare?”
Me: “Dare.”
I wanted to skip all the awkward questions.
Jake: “Ten minutes in the scary supply closet with the new dude.”
Me: “No. Freaking. Way.”
Jake: “It’s a dare, you have to do it or else you’ll ruin the fun of the whole game.”
Faisal: “Come on Jake don’t be an ass. Change the dare.”
Jake: “Nope.”
Saud looked at me, smiled, and said: “I don’t bite traa.”
Jake: “You heard the man. He doesn’t bite.”
Saud and I got up.
Faisal: “Laam..”
I interrupted: “5la9 3adii.”
We got in the closet.
Jake: “SHUT THE DOOR.”
Saud closed the door and we sat on the opposite ends of each other.
It was awkward we just sat there quietly for around eight minutes.
Saud: “Elzibda awkward.”
I wanted to clear up that I don’t like him. I mean I do, but I don’t want him to know that. It’s obvious that he’s a player and I don’t want him to think ana w7da mn elbnat eli mayteen 3leeh.
Before he could say anything else I said: “I do not like you.” with a hint of uncertainty in my voice.
He just looked at me, kept staring with the same stupid smile, chuckled, and finally said: “Okay.”
Jake came and opened the door.
Jake: “How was it lovebirds? Did you kiss?”
Me: “Grow up Jake.”
Saud put out his hand for me to help me get up, but I didn’t take it.
Jake: “Ouch. I guess not.”
Millions of thoughts were racing through my head, and I just sank deeper in them.
Thinking back now, he knew. He probably knew that I was going to fall for him before I even did.
